Types of Dental Implants

If you’ve only lost one tooth, we can place a single titanium post and secure a lifelike dental crown onto it. For patients missing up to three teeth in a row, an implant can be placed at either end of the gap in your grin, with a dental bridge connecting the space between them. Patients who are missing all their teeth on an arch can receive four to eight implants, which provides enough support for a full denture. Each of these situations incurs a different cost.

What are the Stages of Dental Implant Treatment?

If not, you may need to undergo a bone graft to strengthen the bone. This adds a few months of healing time until you can receive your new teeth.

We place the implants directly into your jawbone in an oral surgery. Because the titanium posts are biocompatible, they actually fuse to the bone, creating a powerful bond that can last for decades. However, this integration generally takes three to six months to complete.

The last step in the process is designing and placing your restoration. Your crown, bridge, or denture is custom-made by impressions we take of your mouth, and is designed with your facial structure and skin tone in mind to create the most natural-looking results possible.

Are Dental Implants Worth the Investment?

Other solutions to tooth loss, like traditional dentures and bridges, have to be replaced every 5-10 years or so, which, over the course of your lifetime, can accumulate costs that exceed the initial price of dental implants. On the other hand, implants directly bond with your oral structures, allowing them to last for several decades. This saves you money and time in the long run.

Does My Dental Insurance Cover Dental Implants?

As of right now, most dental insurance companies unfortunately don’t cover the cost of implants. However, they may cover some other areas of treatment, such as your consultation or your restoration. While our team is more than happy to evaluate your benefits for you, we also offer an in-house savings plan, in which you can receive discounts on all procedures for an annual fee. In addition, we partner with CareCredit, which gives you the opportunity to finance your care with very low interest rates.
